This course teaches the basics of the administration of companies using the modern technologies of the information. This course is destined to give a general vision of that now it is the highest level of the professions related with the computer information systems, the "CIO Chief Information Officer".

It is not a formal course, of graduation or pos-graduation, but conceptual. Evidently nobody becomes trained - for instance somebody recently-graduated or with few years of experience - to be a CIO Chief Information Officer. But he becomes trained about the road of the experience, it is shown how that road will be to arrive to be a CIO Chief Information Officer, more fast and more safety.

CIO Chief Information Officer is a new professional, that is usually between the President of the company and the other Directors including the Information Systems Director. He don't replace the Information Systems Director, with the exception in small companies.

A CIO Chief Information Officer has managerial experience and at the same time technical experience in information systems. The entrepreneur usually has only the managerial experience and the responsible for the information system has only on technical matters. However, business is more and more the information system and the information system is more and more the business. To understand better, the current name CIO Chief Information Officer in the future will have another name, the one of entrepreneur, the extraordinary progress of the technology of the information to that will force.

In the next 5 years more and more the companies will need a CIO Chief Information Officer, that transforms technology in businesses and therefore in profits, the only technician has restricted functions and is considered a "dead" weight in a company, although absolutely necessary.

ERP Enterprise (Electronic) Resources Planning

The ERP Enterprise Resources Planning is one of the tools of a CIO Chief Information Officer. However, an ERP without the basic foundations taught in this course tends to not to be efficient and productive for a company, to not to generate value.

We don't have a separated ERP Enterprise Resources Planning course, but the matters of this Course show the basic pre-requirements for the implantation of any ERP Enterprise Resources Planning of any manufacturer.

What is a CIO?

It is the abbreviation of " Chief Information Officer ", the professional with the greatest level in the Information Technology inside a company. Nowadays the Information System is the Business, and the Business is the Information System.

It is also, and that is an unanimous opinion, the future most important executive of a company. A person that uses the Information Technology to generate profits, and not a simply clerk worker as it has been up to now.

He is not the substitute of the main authority in Information Technology of a company (to not to be, obviously, in small companies), but he is your hierarchical superior

Duration and Costs

We have 2 versions to your choice. All are the same but with different durations, accordingly to the Table below:

Method

Lessons sent by e-mails, with tests at each 4 lessons. Wide inter-activity answering individual questions, and the tests are commented by individual e-mails at the most in 72 hours after.

Program

The Course divides in two parts:

The first, of complementation of the university formation courses that don't usually teach those matters, and they are imperative for a CIO Chief Information Officer. You will learn on Control Theory, System Reliability, DAS and DDC Systems, all conceptually.

Second, it is dedicated to the technical/business applications that will differentiate you of a technician in a company, CIO Chief Information Officer and similar, Database-Driven Systems, IME Internet Marketing Engineering, etc. Well absorbed, this Course can be the most important (for the future results) of your life. The whole world seeks for CIO Chief Information Officer, and not for technicians.

First half of the Course:
1. Feedback Control Systems
2. System Reliability calculations
3. DAS Data Acquisition Systems
4. DDC Direct Digital Control

Last half of the Course:
5. Models of ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning)
6. Marketing and managerial Uses of Internet, Database-Driven Systems, IME Internet Marketing Engineering
7. Operational automation of Companies.

Requirements

University formation in subject correlates to the computer fields (Systems Analyst, Programmers, Computer Sciences, Technologist in data processing, etc), besides if it is still in your last year. We accept also other universities degrees, if with emphasis in the computer fields.

Exceptionally we can accept a candidate without an university degree, but with great and proven experience in the computer fields. E-mail us about your previous experiences.

The basic criteria is to have a theoretical base or a good practical experience to absorb all the knowledge that will be supplied. Without one of those 2 requirements, the student can have difficulties in accompanying the Course. The Course is more conceptual than formal (the university formation of a CIO Chief Information Officer doesn't exist at least for the time being, only Seminars and in-House Courses in companies, etc), but you have to know a minimum of Computer Systems techniques to follow the Course.

Why to participate in the Course?

The traditional answer would be to acquire more culture, but the times are other... Let us see the other 4 main reasons:

• In the United States exists an annual demand of 330,000 computer science professionals and an university formation of only 26,000, therefore a deficit (cumulative) annual of more than 300,000 professionals. In Brazil and South-America the situation is the inverse, the demand is inferior to the university formation. That situation is resulting of the low GDP, unable to generate the necessary investments in the production for the absorption of the annual university formation. And that problem is previous to the current world conjuncture, it is resulting of historical problems.

• On the other hand, the world university degree doesn't have the necessary minimum level for the existent demand, the one which in the current times it has been much more demanding than in the past. And that problem doesn't only exist in the computer fields, but in all the professions, of university degree level or not.

• Additionally to the 2 problems above the adverse current world conjuncture, and very probably in the following years.

• And must be added to the 3 problems above the effects of the operational automation of the companies (one of the matters of the Course), whose forecast of reduction of work positions next 10 years varies from 40% to the incredible ones 70%, existing consent on that percentage. We already had two modest automations in Brazil, the first was the bank automation that reduced 1,000,000 jobs in the last 5 years, and the second was the industrial automation that also in the last 5 years reduced 2,000,000 jobs in São Paulo State. Be pointed out that the operational automation of companies (the worker's substitution by a computer) will have a much wider impact than the two previous automations.
